Wyandot County Obits


Anna M. Binau, 88, lived in Upper Sandusky. 

Date: She died Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Personal Information: Anna was born August 12th, 1923 in Salem Township in Wyandot County to the late Harry L. and Ethel H. (Justus) Beidelschies. She married Melford “Pete” Binau August 24th, 1944 in Greenup, Kentucky. She retired as a case worker from Wyandot County Job and Family Services and then from first Citizens National Bank in 1983, previously she and her husband were administrators at the Wyandot County skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from 1960 until 1965 and she had taught school at Salem School for 2 years. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, watching sporting events and vegetable gardening. She was an Ohio State University and Cleveland Indians fan. She was a member of the North Salem Lutheran Church and belonged to a travel club.

Survived By: Anna is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Bernard (Rachelle “Rae”) Kuenzli of Upper Sandusky and Tanya Binau of Upper Sandusky, four granddaughters: Monique R. Ebert, Renee L. (Rick) Gagnon, Heather A. Kuenzli, and Brianne K. (Chad) Smith, six great-grandchildren: Cohl Gagnon, Kate Gagnon, Jordan Ebert, Haeleigh Ebert, Seth Smith, and Pete Smith. Her husband: Melford Binau preceded her in death (1989) along with her parents, five brothers: Allan Beidelschies, John Beidelschies, Paul Beidelschies, Robert Beidelschies, and Russell Beidelschies, and three sisters: Donna Ruth Schoenberger, Leah Comstock, and Mary Jane Davis.

Funeral Services: Bringman Clark Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky is handling the arrangements. Funeral services will be Monday, February 6th, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Jarrod Schaaf officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, February 5th, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Angeline School of Opportunity, North Salem Lutheran Church, Wyandot Memorial Hospital, or Wyandot County Special Olympics in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 East Wyandot Avenue Upper Sandusky Ohio 43351.
