Paul B. “Spunk” Hemmerly, 40, lived in Forest. 

Date: He died Friday January 15th, 2010 in the evening from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

Personal Information: Paul was born June 9th, 1969 in Kenton to Gary L. and Sue (Bailey) Hemmerly. He married Christina Cogar September 19th, 1998. He graduated from Riverdale High School in 1988. He drove semi trucks for Wooster Motor Ways of Wooster and had previously worked for Northern Ohio Explosives of Forest. He enjoyed following NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, fishing, OSU football, watching nature and history shows, and his Basset hound: Dazi.

Survived By: Paul’s wife: Christina Hemmerly survives him along with two sons: Adam J. Hemmerly of Forest, Sceth Conley at home, one daughter: Ashlee M. Conley at home, one sister: Tonya (Ty) Rolland of Alabama, his parents: Gary and Sue Hemmerly and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: Clark Shields Funeral Home in Forest is handling the arrangements. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 19th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Umphress officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson center Cemetery. Friends may call Monday January 18th, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Hemmerly Memorial Fund in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 South Patterson Forest Ohio 46843.
