Harding Home Affected By Budget Cuts
04-18-2008

The Harding Home will shorten its summer hours in line with a restructuring of the Ohio Historical Society.

The home will be closed Monday through Wednesday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Previously, the home was open on Wednesday.

Admission fees are also going up in accordance with a state increase. Adults will now pay $8 for entrance, senior citizens, $7, and children will cost $4. School fees will remain at $3 per person.

The Ohio Historical Society is facing a $2 million budget deficit in the coming months and have not been able to fill 21 vacancies. The restructuring plan also calls for the elimination of 26 more full and part time jobs.
