Voters in Wyandot County looking for results from Tuesday’s primary election had to wait longer then anticipated. After the problems in Cuyahoga County forced poll workers to hold results until after 9:30 last night, human and computer errors held results up even longer in Wyandot County.
Local election officials say some of the electronic voting machines were not programmed correctly and did not close the polls on time, forcing members of the board of elections to go to the sites and shut them down. Then when board members started to tabulate the results they realized that one of the machines had been left at a polling location.
The results from Tuesday’s election were finally released around 1:30 Wednesday morning, closing out a long day for elections officials.
