AEP Offering Help For Electric Bills

AEP Ohio has joined forces with the Dollar Energy Fund, a non-profit entity, to help-low income families with electric costs.

AEP donated $1 million to start the project through the Neighbor to Neighbor program.

A family of four earning up to $44,100 per year is income eligible for the program.

To qualify, households must have made a sincere effort of payment on their electric bill in the last 90 days and have a back balance. A network of Community Based Organizations throughout Ohio will provide application intake services. Full eligibility guidelines and application instructions can be found at www.dollarenergyfund.org.

The program sees AEP provided a dollar-for-dollar match to found donated from the community. More information on donating can be found at the website and all money donated in Ohio will stay in the state.
