The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be patrolling local prom locations in Crawford, Wyandot, and Marion counties. Officers are hoping to encourage students to drive safe and stay belted.
“Prom is meant to be a special occasion for Ohio’s high school students and it should also be a safe one too,” a press release states.
Students are reminded to plan ahead for the following:
• A safe ride to and from prom activities
• Allow for plenty of travel time to eliminate the possibility of speeding
• Be sure to keep you and your passengers seat belted
Parents are also reminded to talk with their children about expectations and plans.
