A Marion native was named the winner on a VH1 reality series Sunday evening.

Taya Parker, formerly known as Laurie Mull, was chosen as Brett Michaels’ Rock of Love on Season 3 of the hit show.

Parker outlasted 12 other contestants in earning the chance at an engagement ring from Michaels, the former lead singer of the 80’s rock band Poison.

Parker graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1996 before going on to a career as a dancer and centerfold model. She was named the 2009 Penthouse Pet of the Year.
