A five-week safe watercraft operator requirement course will begin on Tuesday, April 14 in Morrill Hall on the campus of The Ohio State University at Marion at 7 pm.

The course will be taught by members of the local affiliate of the United States Sail and Power Squadrons as well as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

State certification is mandatory for anyone born after January 1st 1982. Pre-registration is not required and the course is open to anyone.

There will be a 30 dollar materials fee; however, special family rates are available.

Successfully passing the test at the end of the Marion Sail and Power Squadron safe watercraft operator course will help you become certified - remember, it's the law.
