Bands Will Battle For Cash, Recording Time
03-20-2009

The 4th annual Battle of the Bands/Rib Burn Off is set and WDCM 97.5 is looking for the best bands in the area.

Saturday, August 1st at the beautiful Marion Technical College/Ohio State University of Marion Campus is the date for the competition.

The battle is open to bands of all genres and judging is based on musicianship, stage presence, and style interpretation.

Once again, twelve bands will take the stage in battle for the title “Marion’s Best Band” as well as a prize package worth over $1,000.

The winning band receives $250 that night, a full day of recording at Jester’s Court Recording Studio, and a co-headlining gig in the 5th installment paying $400.

Interested bands can submit their bio kits – including histories, pictures, demos, and upcoming schedules – to Battle of the Bands c/o 97.5 WDCM, 121 E. Church Street, Marion, Ohio 43302.
